* * * HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! * * *
December
20th:
This week have been like Christmas in the postbox; among others
we got the yearly Swedish Cocker Magazine so Annika had a long
nice time reading it during a warm bath!
Annika has also
made a new homepage for TempleFontanas
Lhasa Apso
December 15th:
Today it was time for the traditional "Christmas pools
walk" together with grandma. Suddenly, in the middle of
the deep forest, we all met Santa Claus' little brownies who
gave out gingerbread biscuits, sweets and our Swedish Christmas
drink called "Glögg" - which is mulled and spiced
wine. It was so nice!
December 11th:
On Saturday Annika was invited to the Christmas party at our
local dog club! On Sunday we baked some Christmas cookies at
grandma's and went for the long walk in the forest as usual.
In the evening we went for a visit to Mr. Alf again, he is so
nice and he always has some treat for us.
Annika has also
made a new homepage for Varbergs
Dog Club
December 1st:
Yeehaa! Finally we have some snow again! Today we went for a long
walk in the forest with Annika and grandma as usual. In the afternoon
we went to an Open house dog shop with lots of samples. Annika even
bought one of our Christmas presents there already, exciting! It's so
fun at Christmas time, with all the extra goodies and to open presents!
November 26th:
Well, we have some new lovely Autumn pictures, please enjoy them
at #10 here.
November 20th: Well, now that we've moved "home"
Annika and her mother can continue one of their traditions.
The Christmas market at Tjolöholms Castle, manor house
built in British 16th century style (Tudor) with impressive
furnishing and surroundings. It looks just like a fairytale
and is so beautiful in the evening with all the lights! In the
barns on the estate and in the house itself there were lots
of craftsmen selling their wares; homemaked food, beautiful
pottery, needle and wood work.
We keep our fingers and paws
krossed for grandma and her Persian in Norway at Scandinavian
Winners Show-02!
November 9th:
Today we've been at a show in the south of Sweden. Sweet Gibson couldn't
understand why HE wasn't the "star of my attention"? - But
now it was Timmy's turn to show off! It was really fun and he absolutely
loved this "new activity" - what a drive! He wasn't placed
among Best Dog but got a 1st in Open Dog Class
and very nice critic from the Judge Mrs. Andrea
Carrasco, Switzerland. Something in German like: "Well built
in very good condition, beautifully masculine head, good chest, moves
with drive, beautiful hair condition, still very cheerful for his
age". He waged his tail all day long! You can see a fresh photo
of Timmy here. Today it's also
3 years ago he moved in to our lives.
November 4th:
Timmy's puppies are almost ready to leave
for new fine homes, please take a look at them "showing off".

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIBSON!!!
Our precious Gibson is 5 years old today!
Hip, hip, hurrah! WE LOVE YOU!!! |
November 3rd:
Today it's Gibson's 5th birthday and we celebrated with a sausage cake and
lots of fun. We hereby want to thank you all for the congratulations
regarding Gibson's field trial qualification, both by e-mails and
greetings in the guest book, thank you so much!
Yesterday at Halloween we went together
with Annika and her mother for a long
pools walk in a forest while the Autumn sun shined on the golden leafs. In the
evening some children came and scared us - but we scared them too! We hope you had a Happy
Halloween!
|
This
light is burning for our beloved cat "Tiger".
He passed
away the 17th of October, 16 years of age.
We miss him dearly as he meant a lot to us...
|
October 12th:
Why do you bother to do this??? We have been at our first
Field Trial for the season and Gibson was brilliant! Everything had
been perfect... if there only had been some birds too... According
to the rules the dog must find a bird to be awarded... but what can
you do when it's no one in sight!!!??? We were 12 entries and only 1
was awarded! Some had a bad round but we who still had a chance was
forced to go home without it... It's so sad when the dog doesn't get
his treat by fetching something we're all looking for... But I'm pleased with Gibson, he did a very well job
anyway!
September 29th:
Today we have been at the Harvest Festival at the
Fortress. It was very nice decorated with all the harvest of the Summer and lots of
samples.

On Friday Annika went as an Indian with our Cowboy neighbors to High Chaparral - The Wild West
Show! And she did remember to bring some presents for us! On Sunday we practiced
some wild tracking. Fun! t's a bit hot here in Sweden

nice to sit in the garden for a while in the sweet Summer night. Sometimes our visitor the
Hedgehog passes by in the bushes.

"Whines a little bit, goes gladly in the water,
swims well, retrieves with a good grip and deliver". YES! Annika is so proud of
Gibson because he approved the Water Test today! From 2002 it is tougher but is permanent
for the rest of his life. The Judge was the well known Mr. Gunnar Pettersson with 33
entries of Spaniels but only 11 made it... so well done Gibson! (The picture is from our
practice this week). "-So now you don't
need those old birds in the fridge anymore then?!"
*smile* |

good neck, shoulder, front, feet and ribs, correct brisket, good short hocks". At
Sunday Mrs. Eva Mjelde placed Gibson 4th with: "Excellent type and impression,
well muscled dog, masculine head, good neck and shoulders, compact strong body, well
angulated, nice bone, moves with drive". Even Gibson's son Zorro (Tullebyns Double O'seven) was shown and guess who took the 3rd place? Yes,
daddy's boy Zorro! That was really great, congratulations Lina and Zorro!

July 8th:
Guess where we have been this weekend? At a CAT Show! Well we were not shown of course but
Annika worked there as an assistant, while her mother was showing her own bred Persian
"Felicia" which gained her Certification in Junior Class! At lunch time we
went for a long walk true the little pretty town. And after that we laid in our little

couldn't resist the muffin bun! Later Annika went aside to take a bath by the rocks and
she had to hold on because the waves were really wild. She thought it was quite cool! Then

Oh my, Gibson is so proud of getting such a mail like this!
"Hi! Have been to your lovely homepage because you
have my little darling Maja's father, Gibson! Her real name is Fancy Paws Delicate Desire.
Maja is my fourth dog. (The first three I bought from Ann-Catrine Bergh at Shakima's
kennel). It shows that Maja has got good genes. She is calm but still very playful. Just
like a young Cocker should be. She is always happy and nice to both other dogs and other
people. I think she has a perfect temperament. She is very cuddly and faithful, but we
have always cuddled with her right from the beginning. I can't tell you enough how
wonderful she is!!!
Best regards / Birgitta Zachrisson"

temperament".

very sweet house in a town called Varberg, 70 km south of Gothenburg. We have forest,
country and the beach almost around the corner.
