We've spent a wonderful sunday at the beautiful beach. Some games, water
retrieving and off course picnic in the warm sun! Enjoy the sunny pics
in photo
album #87.
April 23
Ooops, I don't put my own website first among updates... ;) Yesterday
the boys had their first water retrieve for the year! I went to my mom's
and helped her in her garden. It was a clear blue sky so we went for a
picnic to the beach and gosh what a cozy afternoon we had in the warm
sun! The boys fetched some sticks on the beach and then we strolled
around and found some "treasures" ;) The Spring is the
season we give our attention to game tracking, maybe a month in the
Summer, but then it's swimming and water retrieving. In the Autumn of
course field practise and HUNTING! Last weekend we did an official game
tracking test in open class, but I don't think this is my bag... The
"problem" is that Dallas is to obedient!!!??? A very positive
quality indeed, but not suitable for tracking... He started off well but
got lost in an angle and took the back track instead. Then he lost it,
sat down and looked at me... but I'm NOT supposed to help him! I must
look the other way and let him solve it by him self. So the judge
kneeled where the track was and tryed to get his attention... but Dallas
didn't take notice of him at all! He just looked at me and waited for my
command? -What to do now, mum? Sweetie... -Come here and show him the
track, said the judge and I took Dallas in a short leash to the track
signs and said "traaack" and then Dallas found it and the rest
of the track went smooth. At the end he found the deers hoof which he
happily retrieved! But... help from the judge brings the prize down to a
3rd. Game tracking is an independent job that we don't use that much. We
have our teamwork in obedience and hunting, where co-operation comes
hand in hand, so now I've inspired master Clas to take over this
tracking activity instead. -I'll do the track and then you just have to
hold the line and follow the dog ;)

I'm so excited!!! Guess what the Easter Bunny brought in the basket
yesterday!!!

This weekend we've had such a lovely visit from Dallas breeder at Shakima's
and her junior Mogge so Dallas got a playmate. We've spent the days at
SSRK West's 2-days show where Mogge came 3rd with an Honours Prize and I
worked as a steward ring secretery for golden retrievers. Ann-Catrine
still got snow left at home but here on the West Coast the spring is
here, finally!

This is
self-torture to visit 8 weeks old puppies!!!
On sunday afternoon I visited Gibson's latest grandchildren at Bergkällan's
kennel and I think one of them even tried to fit in my camera
bag!?

Dallas actually got TWO hamburgers! One real and one as a squeeking toy :) And
today we found the old toy hiding under the
melting snow in the garden. There I also found the
first spring signs - snowdrops and daffodils,
lovely! Tonight I'm off for SKK Int. dog show in
Malmoe working as a ring secretery and on sunday afternoon
there'll be a visit to the grandchildren again =
cuddle!

Lovely pics from yesterdays long walk in the sun, see photo
album #86. Sometimes you're lucky - Dallas found a demolished
pheasant hen that he spontaneously retrieved to me! Good boy! This is a
TRUE gundog in the strict sense of the word! I spared the wings and hey they're gonna fit perfect on a dummy!
I often read at some websites that their cocker is a spontaneous
retriever... as it carries a shoe when their owner comes home... But,
this is only TYPICAL FOR THE BREED and feels natural for a spaniel. A true spontaneous retriever
finds a game quite unexpectedly and retrieves it back to the master,
without any commands so to speak. See the difference?

Out for a long walk in the SUN soon but thought I just might update
a little after being ill with a nasty stomach flu... I don't think I
have to tell you about last weekends snow chaos that forced me to spent
almost 9 hours on the train! It usually takes 4 hours between Varberg
and Soedertaelje! Lucky I had a book, nice passengers
and the bistro! Anyway, the field
trial protocols went back with me so now I can
execute
our plans with hunting courses, aptitude tests and field trial! It's
gonna be so fun! I only wish more of you could treasure the true dual
purpose in a cocker spaniel...
February 18
Gee, I've sorted 4 years of The Spaniel & Retriever Clubs field
trial protocols!!! So now they're neatly in 4 binders ready for The
Cocker Spaniel Club's
Annual Meeting with Breed conferens and Cocker of
Cockers. Clas will be a
grass widower the whole weekend with our boys... We've
had a very LOVELY VALENTINE weekend whitch started already on friday with
big long white roses! On saturday his sister with boyfriend stayed over
and we had a nice supper together and played Trivial Pursuit all night
:) On sunday afternoon my love and I had a romantic dinner at Källarkrogen
in Gothenburg and then I was blessed with Christian Dior's perfume
"Poison"!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH, DARLING!!! *kisses*

I've been at Gibson's grandchildren again today and his daughter
Noella (Bergkällans
Yamaha Virago)
celebrating her birthday yesterday! And honestly, is there anything
more adorable than puppies??? Those fantastic little lifes
that crawls up to your ear and cuddles... My camera worked a lot
and here is one of them! An absolutely gorgeous picture if I may
say so myself! More pics at Bergkällans
kennel!

Today
I took the bus
down town for a
walk by the
seaside. Old Timmy
just loooves to
ride the bus and
patiently waits
by the bus stop
and barks excited
when it comes *sweetie*
In the city there
is so much to
smell so it takes
a while for three
males to walk down
to the shore. Tonight I've
updated
kennel Maxfield's
website and had
among others this
handsome boy in
the gallery...
Gosh,
I'm in love!!!
What a beautiful
field!!! Nice to
show this
unusual colour, people
might think it's a
giant cocker or a
mini springer? *grin*
But look at him,
he's gorgeous!!!
Thanks for the
pictures I at
least can drool at
:)

Yesterday
we had an invitation to
the big boat show in
Gothenburg *grin* Oh
no, we're NOT gonna buy
a boat but isn't it
always nice to mingle,
eat oysters and drink
champagne! The
big talk right now is
about the extreme
amounth of snow! But
you have to admit it
can be rather beautiful
when the sun is shining!

Standing ovations for
DEPECHE MODE at Scandinavium!
Almost full! They begun
with some of their new
songs that I honestly
didn't know that well...
but later on they
played my favourites
and I couldn't control
myself, standing,
singing and claping
hands all blue! Dave
moved his hips and did
his characteristic
dance! Perhaps I
thought the concert
where a bit to heavy
nowadays, with too much
heavy guitar sounds
that doesn't suit DM...
but it was awesome to
see my old beloved
synth band again, after
20 years!!! By the way,
I had a real fun time
at home before the
concert, thinking of
those old memories,
playing their songs all
day, went up in the
attic and found my old
synth clothes! So I
were truly dressed for
the occasion with a
white shirt, black
trousers, black
suspenders and the
synth beret! So cool!!!
Unfortunately there
where not many that
looked like the old
days... Maybe I was a
bit silly, maybe I was
a bit watched... but I
felt like 17 again!!!
THANKS A MILLION honey for our amazing event!

Wonderful news - Gibson has become a proud grandfather
again!
His daughter Bergkällans
Yamaha Virago
gave birth to a lovely litter. Hugs & kisses to you, Noella! Thanks
Ingrid for letting me
take part of this
happening. It's always
so fascinating
and makes me so
impressed!
Noella is such a good
mother and doing fine
with her babies!

Now I'm really pissed
off! Is it anything
that makes me mad more then
people that doesn't
take care of their
dogs! I met a young
girl with her
perambulator and a
puppy. She was talking
in her mobile and were
surely dressed for the
cold! But not the
little puppy who seemed
to be a Mexican Chinese
Crested (Xoloitzcuintle)!!!
A breed with no coat at
all! I had to stop and
tell her that she
needed to put a blanket
on him, especially on a
breed like that! But
she was more interested
in her phone call and
just answered "we
haven't been out that
long". "It
doesn't matter, I
answered, the dog needs
a blanket! It can
freeze to death
otherwise! Don't you
see it's shivering?!"
I felt the anger inside
me, so I went on with
old Timmy, who has
both fur AND a blanket!
I promise I'm gonna
watch out for her! I do
wish there was a DOG
DRIVING LICENCE!!! A
course for any people
before they get a dog
that learns everything
about having a dog,
what a responsibility
it is! What happened
with common sense??? It
makes me so sad
thinking of how many
animals that doesn't
get the love and care
they truly deserve...
But I'm just a
compassioned person
with deep
feelings...

Now MY cramp is gone
after all the critics *joke*
Everything at home is
as usual and now even
my own dogs are groomed
*smile* I've been at a
big board meeting over
the weekend and at
sunday we celebrated my
big sister with lunch
at The Salmon
Restaurant. The
Hollandaise sauce was
heavenly, not often you
get a homemade one
nowadays. Afterwards we
took the coffee at
their place and had an
inspection of the
Corvette -99.

I'm
so exhausted after 4
whole days writing
nearly 300 critics at
My Dog Int. Show! But
it was fun meeting nice
judges and exhibitors!
And I
never should have
complained about not
having any snow... We
got 2 dm and -10
degrees Celcius! But
it's nice and lights up
the dark. Pore old
Timmy (nearly 14 years)
sometimes gets cramp in
his feets because the
cold, so he stays home
at the long walk now.

Best wishes for
2010!
The Holiday
has been really nice
with lots of good food
and company. Gibson's
grandson Filip (Bergkällans
Chevrolet Impala)
is here for a week
while his owners are on
Gran Canaria! We still
don't have any snow at
all, the last place in
Sweden? But today it is
actually snowing a
little! Four days as a
ring secretery
at My Dog Show is on
the schedule!
SUPER!!! Gibson's daughter Clara
(SLCH SVCH SAGCH
SAg(hopp)CH Tullebyns
Two For The Show) is
#2
AGILITY COCKER OF THE
YEAR 2009! Proud owner
is Mrs. Anita Hed. Huge
congratulations!!! Dallas
had 15 points as
Tracking Cocker of the
Year so he got a modest
46th place among 57.
