We went for a visit to Kennel Fancy Paws again and father and daughter finally met each other today!
At first we really got a telling-off, but soon when we had been "examined" they welcomed
us.
Unfortunately I didn´t meet all of the puppies but I did recognize my little
daughter, yes, she smelled something extra...
Gibson also liked the kennels other new puppybitch and we found another big
qualification; Gibson is very sweet with puppies!
In the future we will have a family meeting so they all can say hello to their father Gibson.
"Uncle" Timmy thought everything was alright, "play with my ear you sweet little
ones..." Finally he got tired and sat down in the corner thinking "those
babies"!

Yeah! Today we went to the stable again!
And Gibson met the rabbits... good heavens, they smelled so nice! They didn´t have anything against being licked all over, but Annika didn´t agree with me to let them
loose. What? Can´t I carry them around? Some grumble and whining started... Later we went to the forest to gather some juniper and
spruce. Humans think they´re so smart... they left the lights on to see better in the
darkness, besides flashlights, and guess what happens? You´re right, the batterys of the car went
down. So the only way was to walk back home for the tractor... (but we truly have a touch of Christmas
now, especielly with the mini Christmas Tree on the table!)

Wow!!! Gibson won 3rd prize at a Swedish Dogsite´s photo-contest!!!
A dear friend sent Gibson´s "fancy paw", and among 38 competitors you out there on the net voted for Gibson, to a third
place!

Today we were at Anna´s again, baking Christmas cookies.
I tasted every one of them except the gingerbread biscuits, ´cause Annika sad that they reduced the sence of
smell. Well, I don´t think I need any after all, I´m kind as it is!

Show results!
SSRK´s Show in Umeå the 19/11 for Mr Svend Lövenkjaer. Gibson came 3rd in the Open Dog Class, not bad at all!
The judge is a very hard judge and no cc´s was given, daddy Elmore
gained BOS, BOB in The Field Trial Class and 4th BIS Field Trial Class!

Wow, today I had a great time at Annika´s friend´s place!
I met the horses, the rabbits, the cats and helped Annika strawing in the stable.
Later she had a good laugh because her friend got stucked in the hatch, fetching the
hay!
Luckily they didn´t need to call for help. (we promised not to write her name... :o)))

Annika is so sad... Gibson has been away for a week now,
and he will be up in the north at his daddy´s place for one more week.
So I "Timmy" have to make the updates here for a while. >>
Gibson´s puppies are doing great! The sad part is coming next weekend...
when they´re leaving... :o( At Monday Annika and I were at Anna´s place,
where you always get a bite of good snack! This Saturday the 11th,
Gibson and his father was shown in Östersund. Gibson got a very nice critic;
"Nice masculine head, excellent neck, good toppline, wellboned, (unfortunately a little overweight for the
day), strong body structure
with excellent angulations, nice feet, nice coat quality, wellshown, in right condition a
cc-dog!" / Mr Inge E:son Thor.
He placed Elmore 2nd Best Male and Gibson 3rd in the Open Dog Class
and said he was very sorry, ´cause if Gibson only had weight a little bit less
then...
(the judge likes very slimmy dogs). Well, better luck next Sunday! Hey Buddy - we miss U!!!
(The advantage of Gibson being on "vacation" is that I get Annika´s attention at 100%!!!
and gets the ice-cream and the sausages!)
Today Annika and I practised tracking, which went very well, perhaps I could slow down the tempo a little bit...
but it´s not so easy when you smell the track and knows what´s in the end!
Tonight Annika was at Smokie´s consert here in Sweden,
so she was very happy when she got home!

Today we´ve been helping the Spaniel & Retriever Club here in
our district with their Show.
We were with Annika in the "information", helping people with questions and info. We saw some great Cockers and other dogs that are in the group 8,
which is Spaniels and Retrievers. We especially like "Ebba", a golden Cocker. She moves with such a drive! And she won the BIS!
Our friend "Proppen" came 3rd BIS in The Field Trial Class! Way to go!

Gibson started in Beginners Class at Field Trial today.
Now I´ve been at The Field Trial with Annika and it was so fun!
After ten minutes I found a pheasant that the shooters got. Annika sad ok and I retrieved it so
good!
Annika had a big smile on her face! But the judge wanted to see more of me in action so we carried on forward.
After a few minutes I found another pheasant but it flew over the reeds into the lake. Where did it go?
I had to found out... in to the reeds again. -Come on Annika, I smell birds!
. . . I heard a whistle... -Oh, are you not coming? But I´m over here! Ok, I´m coming back.
Annika wasn´t happy... she leashed me and told me sadly that it was over...
I run too far away so I didn´t pass the test...
The judge huged Annika and said he was sorry -we were soo close to get
The Award...

Today Annika went to see the sweet puppies again, while we were at a friends
place.
When she came back in the afternoon she couldn´t find Tiger -the cat!
She looked everywhere but he didn´t answer... In the morning she didn´t think of where he was -
she was too excited ´cause she was going to see the puppies!
Tiger must have run away at night, when we were out before bedtime.
So the poor cat has been out the whole night and day!
Tiger is an "inside" cat and 14 years old and doesn´t really likes to be
out.
We spent the whole evening searching for him, Annika half way to panic...
When we came back at 11 pm a friend told Annika that he probably hasn´t run so far,
most likely he stays somewhere near and is very afraid so he doesn´t answer...
Now Annika remembered that we had "signed" outside in the bushes so she went out again and
saw a cat crawling back under the bush!
She sat down and called for him and after a few seconds a little familiar face came out
-mjao... She took him in her arms and when he came in he ate a whole plate of
catfood,
layed down on the floor and licked his paws - as nothing had happend!!!

Today we´ve been helping the Springer Spaniel Club here in
our district with their competition
"Östgöta Champion in Dual Purpose -2000".
They started the morning with the show where Annika was ringmaster, and then it was time for the Watertest (SVP) where I "Gibson" was
"stand-in-fetcher". Each Springer that didn´t fetch his seabird didn´t get
approved, and then I had to swim out and get it home again
and that was four times! We decided to do it this way, so it would be fair for all the
Springer´s. I must tell you that it was in more difficult water
than I have practiced, so Annika was sooo proud of me! The Springer people thought I was really good
too!
The field trial was at the end, (this is where the dog will search for pheasants or
moorcocks, wait for the gunshot, find the bird and then fetch it back).
All these things during the day, gave scores that at the end identified the best Springer Spaniel Champion in Dual Purpose -2000.

At last we dare to tell The Big News!
At the end of July Gibson had a date with "Muffan" -
Fancy Paws Alarming Animation,
and now she´s expecting their puppies at the end of September. Colours would be
in red, black and perhaps black/tan.
Oh, it´s sooo exciting!!!

Show debut for Timmy!
Wow, Timmy was shown for the first time (inofficial) and guess
what? First he got a very nice critic!
Then there were another five Cockers in the final which Timmy and another male had to be shown three times extra,
because the 2 judges couldn´t decide which one..! (At that time Annika was pretty
nervous!) Then... they gave the BOB to the other... but still!
It was so much fun!!! (We´ve only have had Timmy for ten months, and when he came he was a little bit
"overweight" and covered with LOTS of coat.)
Annika was a bit curious about how he would look at a Show, and the judges liked him a
lot! (Many thanks to our friend "Pia" for the "haircut"!)

Show results!
Östergötlands Cocker Club had an Open Show the 28th of August 2000 and there were a total of 98 dogs! The judge was Miss Pamela
Halkett, Wiljana Cocker Spaniels - Scotland. (She was BIS Reserve at Cruft´s 2000, with her bitch
"Wiljana Waterfall" - "Claire").
Gibson was shown in the Open Dog Class (2 - 7 years) and came 4th! Not bad at all!

Jönköpings Cocker Club held an Open Show on the 5th of August 2000, where the judge was Mr Roland Webb, of Speechouse Cockers - Wales.
Annika dusted the show leash and fixed Gibson a little bit, and he came 2nd with a Special
Prize in the Open Dog Class!

Yeah!
Timmy had his birthday the 16th of June and "The babes" came at the weekend for a visit!
"Fanny" and "Polly" are two pretty Cocker girls. "Fanny" is black&tan and is Timmy´s old
girlfriend.
"Polly" is a little "chocolate candy", still only 3 months, but the one who waits for
goodies... ;o)

I "Gibson" was in Boxholm yesterday at the Track and Water Test (SVP), and managed it quite
well!!!
So now Annika walks around with a big smile, and besides that she´s extra proud to be an owner of a Cocker!
Because I was the only one that represented the Cocker Spaniel Breed among 17 Springer Spaniels!

Yeah!
Today it was very funny! Annika has a new exciting activity for us.
We went to the forest as usually, but this time we had to wait in the car...
what?
Annika and her friend went into the forest without us!
But after 20 minutes they came back and we drove to another place for a while. Then we went back and I "Gibson" got out first.
Oh my, so thrilling it smelled! I got a special collar and Annika showed me a spot and said
"Track, Gibson"!
So I did! After a while I found a foot from a deer and then I got lots of "sweets"!
Timmy was pretty good too, Annika thinks he´s so cute because he "snores" when he´s
tracking! We´ll gladly do this again!

Do you know who "Frasse" is? A black little "bratt" that bites and does the p..
inside?
No, he´s really a cute new puppy friend, only ten weeks old.
We "babysat" him over the weekend and gosh, what he plays!
But he´s a Flatcoated Retriever, so he will be much bigger than us.
Perhaps we still must be friendly with him... he has an older "brother" by the name of
"Baloo",
that tells you everything!

Here you can read all the news about me,
perhaps I´ve been "pretty" at a show, or a good dog, or even a bit
disobedient... like today...
500 meters from our home, there flows a little river where a lot of wild ducks likes to
gather.
I KNOW that I´m not supposed to mess with them, but they´re not so wild and they´re yelling at
me...
so I had to run down and tell them to stop, but I just "happened" to jump into the water... (so
what, I´m a gundog!)
but Annika wasn´t happy... she yelled at me! She said that it was too cold and I could get
ill! I was very disobedient!
...but it was so fun, wasn´t it?
and it´s so nice to cuddle with the towel afterwards!
